Game Summary: PCC vs Spartans PCC won the toss and chose to bat first. PCC started the innings cautiously and Spartans bowled some tight overs to start with. 3rd over changed the momentum for PCC with a 13 runs over bringing PCC to 16/3. However, SapthaGirish and Vivek came back strong taking quick wickets in the next few overs and PCC came to a halt at 29/3 in 7 overs. Sensible and Smart batting by middle order batsmen Gurdeep and Aakash consolidated the PCC innings and brought back the run rate to 5rpo at 12 over mark (61/4). Hiren broke through the partnership taking crucial wicket of well settled Gurdeep (24 off 24). However, relief was short lived for Spartans as Aakash unleased in the middle overs scoring 42runs off just 34 balls making sure PCC crosses the 100 runs mark. Great bowling in the last few months overs by Spartans limited PCC to 114/6 at the end of their quota. Spartans started cautiously yet lost wickets at regular intervals. scintillating performance by Sahesh stifled Spartans to just 22/3 in 7overs ( 4 overs 3/2). The game went further away from Spartans when Bramha lost his wicket to Vaibhav (3 overs 7/2) in the 7th over. It went from a tough task to a lost cause as Spartans kept on losing wickets in an attempt to uptick the run rate. A clinical performace by Navpreet in end (1.4 overs 5/3) ended the misery for Spartans with 57/10 in 15.4 overs. Kaushik was the only one who showed some resistance scoring 21 off 28 balls. PCC lodged a comfortable victory in their first game and now stand at 2nd position in the points table.
